School Uniform
The students of Al-Iman School are expected to follow a dress code based on modesty and Islamic practices. Parents are expected to bear the full cost of the uniforms. The colour and the material of the uniform have been selected so that the students will look well dressed. This will eliminate clothing competition and will be a cost saving measure for the parents. The uniform is simple and consists of the following:
Boy’s uniform consists of the following:
A white long-sleeved shirt, or white turtleneck which can be bought from any store.
A navy blue pair of slacks to be purchased for the school selected supplier to conform to the colour and quality of fabric selected
Girl’s uniform consists of the following:
White scarf which may be purchased from the School at a cost of $10.00
A white long-sleeved blouse.
A Blue tunic with matching blue slacks to be purchased from the school’s selected supplier to conform to the colour and quality of fabric selected
Girls in the senior grades have the option of wearing a navy-blue abaya with a white headscarf.
The School Uniform may be purchased at Walmart in the uniform section. White shirts may be purchased in any store. The abaya may be purchased from any vendor.
Other Clothing Requirements:
The following are required for every child in the School:
Girls have the option of wearing a navy or black abayah.
Plain sweater without any pictures and messages.
Indoor shoes and outdoor shoes/boots. (Running shoes)
Suitable clothing for outdoor play in all seasons.
Change of clothing for Kindergarten children
There will be a fine for any child without a proper, clean uniform.
Blanket for JK/SK:
Junior and Senior Kindergarten children have a nap each day. They will need to bring a blanket to school to use during the week. It should be taken home on Fridays to be laundered.
